my patient came in with cuffs on after trying to slit his wrists.
After I tried to examine the wound with hands in cuffs behind his back I gave up and asked for the cuffs to come off.
The police officer reluctantly complied. At which point the prisoner bolted from the Ortho room down the hall to the exit.
With no reluctance the officer brought the pistol out and put 3 rounds in his back. While doctors and nurses were diving under the hall stretchers to avoid rounds that didn’t hit the patient.
Back to room 4. Worse than the wrist problem. Didn’t make it.
